Thorlabs的Vytran光纤熔接机用于标准光纤、大直径光纤和特种光纤,利用加热丝熔融技术来对包层直径125 µm - 1.25 mm的光纤进行高质量熔接。 该系统由一个基于加热丝的加热器、一个步进电机运动控制系统、一个光纤成像系统和一台台式电脑组成。它能够对标准光纤、保偏光纤、光子晶体光纤、非圆形光纤和其它特种光纤进行熔接。此外,该系统能够对光纤纤芯进行热膨胀,并创造模场适配器。
该系统需要一系列配件来进行熔接操作。系统发货时预装有一个石墨加热丝组件,可以熔接包层从Ø125 µm到Ø600 µm的光纤。熔接其他包层尺寸的石墨和铱加热丝组件在下方单独出售。需要两个上插条和两个下插条(下有售)。此外,使用转移下插条需要一个转移插条夹具和石墨V型槽(下有售),从而使多个Vytran系统可以一起使用。还需要一个纯度>99.999%的氩气罐,并且必须从第三方供应商购买。
